Written, printed and posted in India

A personalised storybook made in India, for children here

Most personalised books are built elsewhere and shipped in: a story set in a town your child has never seen, priced in dollars, arriving in three weeks if customs is kind. This one is written here, printed here, and posted from here.

What “made in India” actually changes

Stories from here

Krishna and the serpent, a Diwali evening, a temple courtyard, a monsoon afternoon, a wedding full of cousins. Your child can be inside a story they already half know, rather than one explained to them.

Names and clothes that fit

The illustrations put your child in a lehenga, a kurta, a school uniform — whatever the story calls for. Their name is spelled as you spell it, not simplified into something a template could handle.

Rupees and real delivery dates

Priced from ₹249 for the PDF and ₹749 for a printed book. No currency conversion, no import duty, no three-week wait — 7 to 10 days to most Indian addresses.

Storybooks made by families in India

Real books from this site — an Indian mythology story, a fairy tale, a kitchen adventure. Each one made for one child.

The occasions people make these for

Birthdays are the common one, but not the only one.

Diwali

Given alongside sweets, and the one thing still in the house at the next Diwali.

Raksha Bandhan

A story starring a brother and sister together — a second character can be added to the book.

Janmashtami

A Krishna story with your child inside it, which is a different thing from reading one.

A new school year, or a move

A book about a child who managed something hard, with your child as that child.

Where the story can be set

You are not choosing from a shelf of finished books. You describe the world, and the story is written into it.

Somewhere they know

A chaotic Mumbai local, a Chennai beach at dusk, the stairwell of their own building, the walk to school past the chaiwala. Children notice when a book knows their street.

Somewhere they have only heard about

Their grandmother’s village in Kerala, a houseboat, the Himalaya in winter, the Rann of Kutch at full moon.

A story the family already tells

Hanuman carrying the mountain, the churning of the ocean, Ganesha and the moon — with your child inside the telling rather than listening to it.

Something entirely invented

A dragon who turns up for chai. A cricket match against the planets. Describe it in a sentence and it becomes the book.

Questions about ordering in India

Where do you deliver?
Anywhere in India that the courier network reaches, which is most pin codes. Printed books take 7–10 days; the PDF is emailed straight away.
How do I pay?
Razorpay, so UPI, cards and net banking all work. Prices are in rupees and that is the amount charged — nothing is converted.
Can the story be in a language other than English?
Stories are written in English today. Indian names, foods, clothing and festivals appear throughout, but the text itself is English.
Is the book printed in India?
Yes — printed and bound here, then posted domestically. That is why it arrives in days rather than weeks.
Can I order several books at once?
Yes. Hardcover bundles collect several stories in one book, and for parties there are return-gift packs for every guest.
Can I follow the parcel once it ships?
Yes. A courier tracking link is emailed when the book is dispatched, and the order can be looked up on the Track page at any time with the order number.
I live abroad — can I send one to a child in India?
The delivery address has to be in India, but the person ordering does not have to be. Grandparents and relatives abroad are a common case: they make the book, write the dedication, and it is posted to the child here.

Make one and see

It costs nothing to build the book and read it through. Decide afterwards whether you want it on paper.
