One sunny day, Aahana went to the beach. The waves danced and sparkled. She saw something shiny in the water. 'What could it be?' she wondered.

Aahana tiptoed closer to the shore. She spotted a big, shy octopus. Its tentacles waved gently, but it quickly hid behind a rock.

Aahana smiled. 'Don’t be shy, friend! I want to play with you!' But the octopus just peeked out and tucked its arms away.

Aahana thought of a game. 'How about hide and seek?' she called. The octopus wiggled its eyes, curious but still cautious.

'I’ll count to ten. You can find the best hiding spot!' Aahana closed her eyes and started counting. One, two, three...

As she counted, the octopus slowly crept out from behind the rock. It looked for a place to hide, changing colors as it went!

Aahana opened her eyes and searched high and low. 'Where could you be?' she laughed. The sea was quiet, but she felt a tickle of excitement.

She peeked behind a coral reef. No octopus! Then she checked a big clam. Nothing there either! Aahana giggled at the fun.

'Maybe you're too shy to come out!' she called playfully. The octopus heard her words. It wanted to play, but still felt scared.

Aahana took a deep breath. 'It’s okay. I’m patient! You can take your time.' She sat down on the sand and waited quietly.

After a moment, the octopus peeked out again. It watched Aahana. She was friendly, and the sun sparkled around her.

Then, with a whoosh, the octopus swam forward! It wiggled its arms, ready to play. Aahana clapped her hands with joy!
