Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Avneet. She was two years old, full of curiosity, laughter and big little ideas. Avneet had one very important rule: she wanted to do EVERYTHING herself!

Drinking water from a big glass? “I do it!” Bathing herself? “I do it!” Putting on moisturiser and body lotion? Of course! Even when it was time for a diaper change, Avneet would proudly bring her own diaper.

Avneet loved getting ready. She loved dresses, lipstick, makeup, moisturiser and lotion. And choosing her own dress was very important! Mama could show her a few options, but Avneet already knew exactly which one she wanted.

And then came the most exciting question: “Where are we going?” Going out was Avneet’s favourite hobby! A playzone, games, a little adventure or simply going somewhere with Mama and Papa — she was always ready to go.

Avneet loved chocolate, curd and her favourite little “eggi.” But chocolate ice cream was something extra special. One look at chocolate ice cream and that little face would light up with the biggest, happiest smile.

Avneet was also a champion at hide-and-seek! Her favourite hiding places were behind doors and curtains. She would wait for Mama and Papa to find her, trying not to laugh… and then burst into the loudest giggles when they finally did.

Sometimes Avneet did silly things on purpose just to make everyone laugh. She made the funniest faces, laughed at herself and then laughed even harder when Mama and Papa laughed too. Her happiness had a way of filling the whole room.

Avneet was the cutest little copycat. She watched everything Mama and Papa did and wanted to do it too. Whatever they were doing, Avneet wanted to try. She was learning about the world by watching the two people she loved most.

Avneet loved her special memories too. She could watch her first birthday video again and again and still smile and laugh like she was seeing it for the very first time. She called her birthday “Babiba,” and it became one of her sweetest little words.

She also loved watching Mama and Papa’s wedding video. She would watch them with the sweetest smile and happily say, “I love Mama” and “I love Papa.” Those tiny words could make Mama and Papa’s hearts melt every single time.

Papa was Avneet’s special favourite. She loved being around him, calling for him and sharing her little world with him. Mama was her cuddles, comfort and everyday partner, while Papa had that extra-special place in her little heart.

But Avneet didn’t need big things to be happy. A funny face, a favourite snack, a little game, getting dressed, going outside or simply being with Mama and Papa could turn an ordinary day into the best day ever.

Every day, Avneet was growing a little more independent. She wanted to choose, explore, copy, try and discover everything herself. Sometimes she made a mess, sometimes she made everyone laugh, but every day she gave Mama and Papa another memory to treasure.

One day, Avneet will be much bigger. She will have bigger dresses, bigger dreams and adventures of her own. But somewhere inside her will always be this tiny girl with a huge personality, a loud laugh and a heart full of love.

And when grown-up Avneet looks back at these pages, she will meet her little self again: the girl who loved eggi, curd, chocolate, ice cream, makeup, dresses, playzones, hide-and-seek and going out, and who loved her Mama and Papa so much.
