Amidst the joyful preparations for Janmashtami, Shreya beamed in front of the mirror. A brilliant yellow dhoti hugged her waist, and a peacock-feather crown crowned her head. 'Today, I am little Krishna,' she whispered, clutching her small wooden flute tightly. Her parent smiled, adjusting the crown just right, as the scent of fresh sweets filled the air.
